Five Nigerians share their craziest experiences

Hello everyone, hope we are doing well? Today’s post is on the craziest experiences people have had with commercial drivers in some places in Nigeria. Their experiences really made me laugh and I’m sure you’ll do the same. Nigerians are really going through a lot Lol. Let’s get to the stories.

OYE, Ibadan.

I’ve not really had any crazy experience with commercial drivers per se. Mine is with commercial motorcycle riders- Okada men. I’ve always had an unspoken rule about not patronizing Hausa bike men due to their crazy speed. But this day I was in a hurry and they were the only ones available so I had no choice. I hopped on one of their bikes and halfway through the journey, this guy farted- why??!!! God, I felt like vomiting and I just had to endure it till I got to my destination. Throughout that day, I don’t know if I was in my head but I could still perceive the bloody fart.

FOLA, Lagos.

I go out a lot in Lagos so dealing with commercial drivers is a regular thing. This bus driver carried me when the bus was empty and told me the transport fare was 200 naira, only for him to increase it to 300 naira because he saw more people rushing to enter the bus at the front. I refused to give him another 100 naira, Baba said I should come down, omo I no gree. He wanted to collect my glasses and was holding my cloth but I didn’t release my 100 naira oo. After all, good girl no dey pay. There was another time, a bus driver drove off with my 400 naira change. 400!!! Omo, wetin my eyes don see ehnn.

AYVAH, Ilorin.                                                                                                  

Omo, Ilorin commercial drivers aren’t nice oo. There was this day I wanted to enter a Korope bus and because I really like sitting near the window, I was waiting for other people to enter and sit, only for the bus to get filled up and another person has sat on the seat I was saving for myself. I was even expecting the driver to defend me and tell the person sitting on my seat to leave, only for this man to tell me to go get my own car if I wanted to choose seats.                                       Ahhh!!! A whole meeee!!!!

ADAOBI, Lagos.

One day my cousin and I boarded a bus from Ketu to Obalende. I live in Abeokuta so I’m not really conversant with Lagos bus drivers and conductors. This particular conductor kept on going on and on about who and who not is supposed to be Nigeria’s next president, while I was being bathed in his saliva. This man still refused to give us our change when we came down even after eating one of our roasted corns. Omo, I was shocked sha.

KIKUN, Ibadan.

Mine is a case of not holding your change when going out. I was going from UI to Ojoo- which is an 100 naira transport fare but I confidently sat in this man’s micra with my 1000 naira. When it was time to pay, I brought out my 1000 naira, this man shouted at me, carried me beyond my destination to another bus stop to look for change. I would saved myself wahala, if I hadn’t entered his micra to begin with. Learnt my lesson sha, never trying that shit again.
